Your contribution to the Massachusetts Food is Medicine State Plan Implementation Fund will allow us to realize the goals and vision of the State Plan by supporting the work of three Food is Medicine Task Forces, co-chaired by powerful partners who are leading experts in their fields.

  1. The Provider Nutrition Education and Referral Task Force, co-led by the Massachusetts Medical Society and the conveners of the State Plan, will address gaps in nutrition education for physicians and other health care providers and make it easier for providers to connect patients to critical nutrition resources.

  2. The Food is Medicine Community-Based Organization Task Force, co-led by the Greater Boston Food Bank and Community Servings, will ensure widespread access to high-quality nutrition services in the state.

  3. The Food is Medicine Research Task Force, co-led by Children’s HealthWatch and the conveners of the State Plan, will work to support research that expands our understanding of how nutrition services can help to prevent, manage, and treat complex health conditions while reducing health care costs.
